My name is Olivier MICHEL, and I am the creator of the Picoti Picota® music box.

 

On the city side, I am a singer, composer, choirmaster and leader of team-building sessions through song. My job is to help young and old find the right pitch so that hearts open to the beauty of music.

 

Garden side, I am married and father of three children. My desire is to awaken my children to prayer, to transmit to them with all my fantasy this joy of interiority, to inscribe faith in their daily life, their child's room and our family life.

 

One spring, while visiting the Château d'Amboise, while the composer in me was wondering what a melody is, I was drawn to a kiosk of music boxes of popular songs. It occurred to me to create this Picoti Picota® music box to broadcast Christian prayers and touch the hearts of children! I am convinced, in fact, that children's prayer is very powerful, and that a melody can be a school of prayer.

 

In the virtual age, this music box that holds in their hand is, for me, like a missionary work. It allows children to enter into the mystery of the incarnation through the smile of Mary, but also into the mystery of the resurrection through the twittering and the words of awakening to the prayer of little chicks.

 

This music box is made in part, then assembled in the communities of L'Arche .
